In accordance with the prevailing trends in education, the school follows the Continuous Assessment Method from Kindergarten to Std. IV through worksheets, with emphasis on learning-by-doing and creative thinking. Regular class tests and exams are conducted for students from Std. V and above.
The school nurtures a warm, friendly and supportive learning environment with a Counselling and Resource Centre to deal with emotional, personal or academic problems of the students.
A separate entity by itself, St. Michael’s Montessori offers a curriculum that ensures a smooth transition of a child to a structured school life.
At age six, students begin their first year of primary school with Standard I.
They are introduced to various bodies of knowledge – language, science, mathematics and social studies.
Through a combination of academic and non-academic subjects, these young intellectuals are encouraged to enjoy the process of learning and through text books they are introduced to the world beyond the frontiers of their neighbourhood.
